WhatsApp is among of the most popular messaging apps in the world wide. The Facebook-owned app has been introducing new features with updates to users every month. To inform users of these new features, WhatsApp can soon make in-app announcements.
The terms of service for WhatsApp are also changing in 2021, and the next upcoming feature may be used to make that announcement.
Depending on the features of WhatsApp and the tracking website tracker WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will inform users of its new features and updates with an in-app announcement. Announcements would not be in the form of a conversation but an in-app announcement. Touching the banner may direct the user to an external website for further details. These announcements will also be able to direct users to a specific action.
The report includes a screenshot of one in-app announcement about the new WhatsApp terms of service. The announcement will come when WhatsApp releases its new terms next year. Important updates include details of how WhatsApp processes your data, and how businesses can use Facebook-hosted services and manage their WhatsApp conversations. Users can simply tap on "I Agree" to accept the new terms that will be available from February 8, 2021.
Considering the number of features and updates that WhatsApp has received over the years, these in-app announcements will be very helpful. One such feature introduced recently in India is WhatsApp Pay.
